Preview of BIGBANG for 'A-Nation' Music Festival!



A-Nation is a yearly music festival organized by Avex featuring its most popular artists. The format for this year’s festival includes a “Music Week” from August 3 to 12 at the Yoyogi Gymnasium and a “Stadium Fes” from August 18 to 19 at the Nagai Stadium in Osaka and August 25 to 26 at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo.

BIGBANG is scheduled to perform on the 26th in Tokyo. Other South Korean artists participating in the “Stadium Fes” event are Tohoshinki (Aug 19 & 25), Super Junior (Aug 25) and U-Kiss (Aug 26). For “Music Week”, K-pop groups confirmed to attend so far are 2NE1 (Aug 3), U-Kiss, Shu-I and A-jax (Aug 9). Check out  “BIGBANG - Summer Goods”

Today I had shooting for 4 different magazines and then I had meeting for a TV show.
In the middle I got a little extra time I went to Ebisu Garden. That is the statue is in Hana Yori Dango where Domyouji waiting for Makino! Because I'm impatient person I don't really like waiting but if the girl is as cute as Makino I don't mind waiting for hours!! 
After that, I had meeting for SSTV Seung-chan's Complete Declaration of Victory! We've made a really good plan, please look forward!

After that, I had meeting for V.I's Fan Meeting! This is going to be different from other events you've seen before. This time, 70% is comedy corner, while singing corner is 30%! I will sing many songs too!

Have you heard about Yoshimoto Sunki Geki? wwwwwwww I'll definitely make you laugh! Anyway, there are still many TV shows meeting waiting for me... This is great! ^_^
Because I'm so popular!

And then, my passport. It's okay..^^ I was shocked at first, but it can't be helped. Both companies in Korea and Japan are working really hard to get new passports for us, so don't worry! That's all. Good night. (=´∀｀)人(´∀｀=)

Big Bang’s Car Robbed in Japan: Victim of Hate Crime?! 


Big Bang’s car was robbed in Japan, resulting in the loss of Daesung and Seungri’s passports. But local media is suspecting it as a result of hate crime stemming from the rapidly growing anti-Hallyu sentiment across Japan.
According to Yomiuri Shimbun on August 17, Big Bang’s van was broken into while it was parked at a hotel in Tokyo. The door’s window was cracked open by a hammer and the members’ luggages were stolen as well. The bag had the passports and cash of Daesung and Seungri, it was later discovered.
But fans and press are questioning the motive behind the robbery. The incident coincidentally happened in the early morning of August 15, the Korean Independence Day, which is also the anniversary of Japan’s Second World War surrender.
Although it’s unclear if the robbery was actually carried out by an anti-Hallyu advocate, local media is suspecting it as hate crime, as many Japanese fans demanded TV stations to abstain from airing any Korean-related shows. In fact, NHK”s BS Nippon and BS Japan indefinitely suspended the airing of “A Man Called God,” after the show’s lead role Song Il Gook was later discovered to have participated in an event claiming Dokdo (Takeshima in Japanese) as Korean territory.
Perhaps, it’s a bit of a stretch to call this hate crime just based on the date of the incident. But the two countries’ relationship has clearly soured recently and anything involving Korea and Japan together could possibly face similar accusations one way or another.

Soccer Team Captain Koo Ja-Cheol Dances to Big Bang’s "Last Good-bye"! 


Before he became the captain of the Korean soccer team and a Bronze medalist, Koo Ja-Cheol used to dance to Big Bang’s music. 

With his name being highlighted after the Olympics, past videos of the young captain have been rising in popularity, including one titled, ‘Koo Ja-Cheol’s Past in a Dance Group.’
The video showed Koo Ja-Cheol and his fellow teammates in the Jeju United soccer team dancing along to Big Bang’sLast Good-Bye. The performance was done during a fanmeeting with soccer fans in the past and is bringing enjoyment to fans now. 

Upon seeing the video, netizens commented “The more I see him, the more adorable he gets,” “This video is so embarrassing, but I can’t stop watching it,” and “I can’t wait until Ki Sung Yueng gets his hands on this video.” 

He’s the one in green!

According to a news report aired on Japanese TV just now, someone broke into Daesung and Seungri's manager's car on August 15 around 8:30AM. The person is said to have stolen their bags containing their passports.

The hunters in the show... were really scary! I might have nightmare of their cold expression..
oh no the grand prize is 1,080,000 yen! wow! but it wasn't easy!

In the middle of Ume-chan from AKB48 joined me as pair. It was rare to see BIGBANG and AKB48 doing collaboration! By the way, these days I've met AKB in shows alot, but they never show their exhausted expression, but always showing smiles. Now I know why AKB48 is loved....Their members' ages are about the same as mine, they became my friends. Their faces are pretty and their hearts too ^_^
I'll keep on supporting them! 

Until this time, I really have met a lot of people in shows!!
And in just 1 month! This is great!

2012 M Countdown: From SNSD & Big Bang to Dynamic Duo & Nell! 


Mnet M Countdown has been airing since July 2004, and the long-running show recently hit its 300th episode mid-August 2012. 

It has been 8 years since it first launched, and it is currently the only show on TV which is a chart-based music show. 

As we are now officially more than halfway through the whole year of 2012, we looked back on the idols who defined K-Pop and M Countdown in the first half of 2012.

Big Bang, Taetiseo, Infinite, Super Junior: Idol Groups Reign the Korean Music Scene

In total, there are six idol groups who won Triple Crowns while performing on M Countdown. All six groups represent Korean pop music and are great in the sense that they help spread hallyu through music. 

First and foremost, there was Big Bang, who came to perform at M Countdown and won the Triple Crown award. Soon after, Super Junior came back with Sexy, Free and Single and also won first place three weeks in a row. 

Unit groups such as Trouble Maker and Taetiseo also proved to the fans that they were able to adapt to different situations and still impress.

4Minute’s Hyuna and B2ST’s Hyun Seung, Cube labelmates, came onto the M Countdown stage to perform Trouble Maker, the title song of their first album together. The song was an instant hit, and it also helped the duo win the Triple Crown. 

SNSD’s trio of Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun, known as Taetiseo, hit the jackpot with its first debut stage on M Countdown , and immediately went on from then to win Triple Crown. 

Girl group f(x) also won their Triple Crown with ‘Electric Shock’, and rookie group Infinite won their first award and first Triple Crown with their 3rd mini album’s title song Chaser, sending all the members into tears while still on stage. 

All these groups’ success proves that the K-Pop industry is still in love with idols and group music.

Rock, Hip Hop and Ballads: Fans Start to Embrace Fresh Sounds 

But that didn’t prevent M Countdown embracing and promoting also different genres of music. 

This year, the show also promoted artists who came with fresh new sounds, such as ballads, modern rock and even hip hop. Busker Busker, Kim Dong Ryul, John Park, Dynamic Duo and more, all not idols but talented and successful musicians in their own genre, held top places on the M Countdown charts.

With different genres and musicians and performances shown through M Countdown, fans of K-Pop all over the world will be able to witness the changes in Korean music and enjoy all that will occur on M Countdown in the next half of the year.

G-Dragon, Kpop has its Idol
At Boulevardier, we are fascinated with the Kpop phenomenon that is starting to radiate on large Europeans communities. We asked Claire Solery, passionate follower of Korean culture, to tell us about current star G-Dragon. Claire is the author of Out of Korea, where she shares visual and artistic observations from Korea, especially if they have a link with France. On June 28th during the men's fashion week in Paris, a mini hunt happened on Twitter. Photos of G-Dragon (aka GD), leader of South Korean boy band Big Bang, attending fashion shows of Rick Owens, J. Juun and Yohji Yamamoto were posted on social networks. These attracted a handful of young girls and very young women, motivated to get a glimpse of his pink hair in Paris.
G-Dragon, whose real name Kwon Jiyong, 23, is not known to 'people' authorities and fashion experts but he has attracted the attention of a few online publications with his style. In Asia, he is one of the most famous male personalities, one of the headliners in Kpop or Korean Pop, the current worldwide purveyor of boy and girl bands that is slowly but surely penetrating the tweens market. An idol for teens who are in search of a stature in haute couture. Paris is a trophy for any respectable fashionista. Music will wait, make way for fashion.
G-Dragon is a fashionista, which is more likely to be approached as a diva in the Korean pop world. Kpop systematically establishes in each group an “idol”, backed with a concept, hair color, looks, and fits them into predetermined boxes [stereotypes]. A narrow world, where the body no longer belongs to the owner.
G-Dragon was only 8 years old when he became a "trainee" at SM Entertainment, the largest idol agency in the kingdom of Kpop. He left at 13 to join YG Entertainment whose image promotes its artists' individualities. He was made leader of a team of 5 boys "with strong personalities," among which he is the most flamboyant. He logically becomes the group’s dynamo. He composes, writes and even released a solo album.
G-Dragon also rolls in style: partnerships between YG and creators, who have well understood the importance of positioning in an environment where idols are overexposed to the media and imitated by their fans, have granted him an opened closet to Givenchy, Balmain or Comme des Garçons. He's a brand with his own trademark. He controls his aesthetics as much as possible and refines his connections in the West.
G-Dragon was also involved in some troubles that may seem trivial to us: marijuana, controversy over his compositions, picture of a flower made with a 50,000 won bill.
His sexual ambiguity can trouble us, Europeans, for we are not accustomed to the homoerotism climate of Kpop, in a society where the stigma over homosexual celebrities is quite irreversible.
G-Dragon is not a drag, not a second Lady Gaga or a Daphne Guiness. Other idols can fall under this label, but he is the perfect embodiment of the triumphant androgyne. His cat’s eyes, his slender silhouette which naturally fits women’s clothes, and his brat voice effortlessly places him at the gender crossroads.
G-Dragon has been able to navigate in a world of restrictions to build himself an image of an icon. An idol is a work on which everything can be projected, and that sends you its light back; the perfect recipe to overheat the sexuality of young debutants. On the eve of the release of his next album on August 20, G-Dragon truly is the Kpop icon for he is full of potentials: man-woman, blond, brown, pink, individual, group member. He is at the image of Kpop, very aggressive in his visual impact, all the more forthright, protean and experimental, like Kpop itself, in a sort of glorious and eccentric adolescence.

Seungri's Diary Update: My seniors are all so kind! 


My seniors are all so kind ^_^
Today, my senior Se7en who is from the same company as mine, came and guested for Sakigake Ongaku Banzuke. Senior Se7en is really good in singing... His personal magnetism (charisma) is no joke.
He is a senior who I always respect. He's always so kind. When something is wrong, he points it out and explains it for me. Thanks to him, I'm able to improve.

Then, in the evening, I had a recording for Sekai Banzuke. I love all the members of 'Neptune' !! T.T They are the best. Nagura-san who speaks in Osaka dialect, Horiken Sensei with his weird gags, and Taizou-san's kindness. They have always been taking a good care of me. The people around me are all really kind, I feel so blessed!

Сегодня мой хен Se7en тот, что из той же компании, что и я, пришел и гостили на Sakigake Ongaku Banzuke. Хен Se7en действительно хорош в пении ... Его личный магнетизм (харизма), это не шутка.
